Okay. I’m certainly not a teen boy but I did ask my 13-year-old son what would be good gift ideas for teen boys, and some of the items on the list were his idea.
Good luck with your hunting and I hope he loves whatever you decide to get! Click any of the photos or item names and you’ll be taken directly to the item.
It’s tricky to know what to get someone for Christmas, so I’ve made this Gift Guide of Gift Ideas for Teen Boys. I hope that it’s helpful and you can find something awesome for your loved one. <3
Get him excited about going outside again! Too many children and teens are sitting in the house much too long these days and are missing out on much needed fresh air, sunshine and exercise. This is a gift guaranteed to get him outside and moving.
Here’s another idea to get that boy off the video games and back into the real world, a paintball gun set. This is a full set, but you can buy extra paintballs to go with it if you’d like because they’re going to go fast for sure.
Does your guy love building things or just helping out around the house? Why not get him his own toolset so that you can always find your own again? This is all packaged up nice and neat for him to tuck away under his bed, or up in the closet. It’s good looking too.

Hi-Spec 26 Piece Household Tool Kit Including 12V Cordless Drill Driver with 800 mAh Ni-MH Rechargeable
Similar to the above idea, but with a drill. I mean come on, how cool is that? I know my son gets tired of waiting around for his Dads drill to charge (since his Dad rarely uses his) and would love having his own to take care of and keep fully charged.
I tried to keep this guide of gift ideas for teen boys varied with both indoor and outdoor activities, so here are some quiet time ideas.
My kid doesn’t like to read a whole lot and these books were even made into movies, but he still wanted to lay around and consume these books practically overnight. Awesome serious for the dude that loves adventure.
All the coolest gamers your kid is watching have the best gaming chairs, so I can guarantee he’s drooling over them if he doesn’t have one yet. I have one very similar to this one and it’s SO much more comfortable. check out that pillow and lumbar support! And it looks like a racecar seat to boot.

Here is a pretty good computer gaming set. If your kid plays games on the computer as well as the console system, he’s going to enjoy this set. It’s got beautiful backlights behind the buttons that you can change
If you don’t know what an Echo Dot is, let me explain a little. It’s basically a virtual assistant. This device comes with Alexa, who you just have to speak to get information like the weather, who won the most recent game, What year was Oprah born, you know, the important stuff. She is also a speaker and will play music for him. Just say “Alexa play Conway Twitty” and she will. She’s so nice.
It’s cold, yo! Check out this winter hat that has the speakers/headphones built right into it. That’s pretty convenient if you ask me. It’s rechargeable (not the hat, the speakers) and it even has a microphone. WASHABLE too.
For approximately one million and twenty years, boys and girls alike have loved remote cars and boats, etc. Remember when we were kids and a lot of ours had cords connected to them? Ist that even a thing now? Anyway- this thing can go pretty darned high and has a camera so that Jr. can look back at the footage and see what the drone saw.
And when all else fails, give’em some cash. Everyone loves money.
